Free Night of Theatre Is Back!

This fall, theatres throughout the Washington, DC area will join with theatres in communities across the country for the fifth annual Free Night of Theater, an exciting initiative to bring new audiences into our nation's theatres. 


Free Night of Theater is an unprecedented effort initiated by Theatre Communications Group (TCG) to attract new audiences to live, professional theatre across the country.  The goal of the program is to encourage ‘first-timers’ to see their first live theatre performance while giving regular theatregoers a chance to attend theatres they haven’t been to beforeThe Washington, DC area is one of 35 states and communities nationwide participating in Free Night of Theater in 2009.

Free Night of Theater is your chance to:

· See a professional theatre production FOR THE FIRST TIMEfor free! 
          · Go to a theatre you’ve never been to beforefor free!
· Introduce a friend to the excitement of professional theatrefor free!
