The League of Washington Theatres'

TENth Year of FREE Theatre for kids:

"Stages for All Ages"™

Washington, DC - During Spring 2008, the League of Washington Theatres is again presenting Stages for All Ages, a program that introduces thousands of young people to live, professional theatre throughout the Washington area.  This marks the tenth year for this popular program.

For select performances, 20 arts organizations throughout the Washington area are offering a free ticket to a young person 17 or under, with each regularly priced adult ticket purchased.  Stages for All Ages tickets are on sale now!  Please contact the participating organizations for tickets.

In the first nine years of Stages for All Ages, thousands of young people were introduced to the richness and diversity of professional theatre in the Washington area.  This year continues the tradition with program offerings include a wide variety of theatre and music across the Washington area.  Stages performances will take place from March through May.  Many productions will delight the whole family; other productions may appeal primarily to younger children, while others are more appropriate for middle and/or high school students.

This year’s participants are:  American Century Theater, Arena Stage at Crystal City, Folger Theatre, GALA Hispanic Theatre, Imagination Stage, The Keegan Theatre, The Kennedy Center, MetroStage, The National Symphony, The National Theatre, The Olney Theatre Center, Quotidian Theatre, Round House Theatre, The Studio Theatre, Teatro de la Luna, Theater J, The Washington Savoyards, Washington Shakespeare Company, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company.

For detailed information on productions, visit the League of Washington Theatre’s website at www.lowt.org.  Tickets are available for selected performances; some restrictions apply.  Check with theatres directly for ticket availability and for age appropriateness.  A list of Stages for All Ages offerings is attached.
